Software Development Engineer 4 (Java)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Java developers.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based architectures.
• Build and maintain RESTful web services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Oversee requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and software delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and delivery risks.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and CI/CD adoption.

Requirements

• 9+ years of Java development experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
• Strong proficiency in Java, object-oriented programming, Java 17, microservices, Quarkus, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Experience designing RESTful web services, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native applications.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, performance optimization, security, and scalability.
• Proven experience leading development teams, mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and communicating effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Protobuf, Podman, and Kubectl.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, DevOps practices, relational and NoSQL databases, and agile methodologies.
