Senior Software Engineer, GMS App Team (Fullstack)

Location: United States, remote. If located near a hirify.global office, work from that office 3 days per week is expected.

Salary: US base salary ranges from $142,800–$178,500 for the national range, $153,000–$178,500 for New York City and California, and $162,600–$203,200 for San Francisco, depending on experience, skills, and location.

hirify.global designs, builds, and operates a large constellation of imaging satellites and delivers geospatial data through a cloud-based platform for commercial, environmental, humanitarian, defense, and intelligence users.

What you will do

• Develop the next-generation global monitoring application for rapid access to satellite and geospatial datasets.
• Design and build scalable backend services and React frontend applications.
• Participate in the full engineering lifecycle from concept through implementation.
• Own the quality and availability of mission systems.
• Improve application architecture, infrastructure, and engineering processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and federal partners to integrate complex customer requirements.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of industry software engineering experience.
• Fluency in Golang, Python, and PostgreSQL or related technologies.
• Experience developing full-stack applications across databases, services, and web interfaces.
• Experience building frontend applications with React.
• Experience maintaining infrastructure as code and using logging, alerting, and monitoring tools.
• Ability to access applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing is required.

• Experience with AWS, GCP, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience building systems with many integrations.
• Experience with geospatial technologies and data.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to customer needs.
