Salary: NZ$98,700–NZ$121,900 per year

What you will do
- Advise Signature Research Area leads and University Research Centre Directors on engagement strategy, partnership development, and co-design practice.
- Build and steward long-term relationships with industry, funders, government, civil society, international partners, communities, and iwi.
- Embed theory of change and implementation-informed approaches into engagement planning and impact pathways.
- Connect external partners with relevant University expertise and applied innovation capability.
- Identify opportunities to promote University research through stakeholder events, thought leadership, strategic communications, and coordinated engagement.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification aligned with a Signature Research Area or equivalent professional expertise in a relevant research domain.
- Experience in research engagement, research partnerships, strategic stakeholder engagement, knowledge mobilisation, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success building and sustaining trusted, mutually beneficial relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong facilitation skills and experience bringing stakeholders together to establish shared priorities and outcomes.
- Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and exercise sound judgement in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills when working with researchers, senior leaders, industry, government, and community partners.
