TL;DR
Engineering Project Manager (Earthmoving Technology): Leading the development and integration of software and hardware components for earthmoving and paving machines with an accent on cross-functional systems integration, product schedules, and new product introduction. Focus on coordinating international engineering teams, managing risks and resources, and aligning hardware design, software releases, and system validation through the T5 phase-gate process.
Location: Christchurch, New Zealand — in-office. Travel requirement: less than 10%.

What you will do
- Lead development of core software and hardware system components through the T5 phase-gate process.
- Coordinate an international system integration team across engineering, hardware, software, product, and installation solutions.
- Plan projects, including work breakdowns, estimates, resource requirements, and master product schedules.
- Manage resources, team dynamics, change control, schedules, cost targets, and contractual objectives.
- Monitor project needs and risks, execute mitigation plans, and communicate status and insights to senior management and product teams.
- Drive accountability for the T5 outcome process across product teams and support new product introductions from concept to commercialization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical engineering, computer science, or equivalent industry experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on technical project management experience in cross-functional teams and software development organizations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and proactively identify and mitigate issues.
- Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships across diverse teams.
- Ability to work in the Christchurch office in New Zealand.
