What you will do

• Lead the transition of vehicle designs and existing build processes from R&D prototypes to repeatable production.
• Design a greenfield production site, including process flow, station layout, sequencing, takt and cycle-time allocation.
• Lead NPI programs and establish scalable work-cell and station-based assembly operations.
• Specify, design, and source fixtures, jigs, tooling, and capital equipment while managing vendor lead times.
• Partner with mechanical, electrical, systems, quality, facilities, and supply-chain teams to resolve DFM issues and define production controls.
• Create manufacturing documentation, work instructions, routers, standard work, inspection points, and production data dashboards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Ownership of at least one NPI program from prototype through production launch.
• Direct experience designing and establishing an assembly line or work-cell operation.
• Experience specifying and sourcing fixtures, tooling, and capital equipment.
• Strong knowledge of DFM principles and experience influencing product design from a manufacturing perspective.

Nice to have

• Experience in rail, transit, aerospace, or heavy-equipment manufacturing.
• Experience with large or heavy vehicle subassemblies, crane-assisted handling, and structural lifting.
• Familiarity with PFMEA and hardware development gate processes such as CDR.
• Startup or small-team experience building manufacturing processes from the ground up.
