Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, NPI Final Assembly (Manufacturing): Defining and implementing processes for high-quality, safe, and efficient final assembly production during new product launches with an accent on process documentation, DFAM, tooling, PFMEA, and production readiness. Focus on planning pilot builds, resolving manufacturing problems through root cause analysis and 8D, supporting capital equipment commissioning, and improving cost, quality, safety, and manufacturability.
Location: On-site in Wyoming, Minnesota, USA, with up to 25% travel to suppliers or manufacturing sites
Salary: $105,000–$130,000 per year

What you will do
- Plan and support new product launches, including pilot builds, validations, and production ramp-up.
- Develop process documentation, work instructions, standard work, labor estimates, and operational standards.
- Evaluate designs for manufacturability, ergonomics, assembly efficiency, tooling, and fixturing requirements.
- Lead PFMEA development, risk mitigation, structured problem resolution, and corrective-action closure.
- Manage pre-production pilot builds and post-build reporting.
- Support capital equipment initiatives, cost modeling, make-versus-buy analysis, and compliance with safety, ergonomic, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, mechatronics, aeronautical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of manufacturing engineering or related process engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, final assembly, PFMEA, control plans, SPC, and change management.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo, plus AutoCAD.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Power BI, OneNote, and MS Project.
- Fluent English, on-site manufacturing and R&D work, production-floor safety compliance, and up to 25% travel are required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
