What you will do

  • Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components using hand tools, power tools, drivers, wrenches, and torque tools.
  • Read engineering drawings, work instructions, bills of materials, and assembly procedures to complete builds accurately.
  • Fit, fasten, align, and torque components to specification, then verify fit-up and functionality.
  • Identify and troubleshoot assembly, fitment, and parts issues, escalating problems when necessary.
  • Support varied builds across product lines and subassemblies as manufacturing priorities change.
  • Document completed work, inspection results, and non-conformances while maintaining 5S and shop safety standards.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, or a similar hands-on technical role.
  • Strong proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools, including torque wrenches, drills, and drivers.
  • Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to build quality in a fast-paced startup manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, work on a shop floor, and use appropriate PPE.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Nice to have

  • Mechanical assembly experience in aerospace, nuclear, automotive, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Basic electrical or electromechanical assembly experience, including wiring, connectors, or harnessing.
  • Familiarity with torque specifications, fastener standards, and hand-tool calibration.
  • Startup or low-volume, high-mix production experience.
  • Forklift, overhead crane, or rigging certification.
