Order Management Specialist, Distribution and Direct (Solar Energy)

Location: Hybrid in Rocklin, California, United States. Onsite at the Rocklin headquarters on Tuesday and Thursday; remote Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Standard schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Pacific.

Compensation: $29.00–$32.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Manage direct and distribution customer orders, returns, credits, and replacement orders.
• Serve as the main contact for order inquiries, status updates, lead times, shipment tracking, and issue resolution.
• Research and resolve complex order, inventory, shipping, and billing issues.
• Coordinate with Sales, Logistics, Transportation, Finance, Supply Chain, and external customers.
• Monitor open orders, identify delivery risks, and develop solutions to minimize customer impact.
• Prepare open-order and lead-time reports, maintain customer records, and obtain freight quotes.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in administrative or logistical support.
• Demonstrated experience in order management or customer service.
• Strong accuracy in data entry, order processing, documentation, and reporting.
• Analytical, critical-thinking, multitasking, process-improvement, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of SAP and Salesforce.
• Knowledge of logistics operations, transportation management systems, freight carriers, and forwarders.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
