Broadcast IT Support Engineer

Location: Stamford, Connecticut, United States; on-site support required with travel to domestic and international sporting venues

Salary: $62,400 per year

What you will do

• Provide 24/7/365 on-site technical support for NBC Sports Group’s operational infrastructure.
• Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop support, application troubleshooting, and issue resolution for networks, servers, printers, remote access, and file shares.
• Support live broadcast sporting events at domestic and international venues, including occasional travel.
• Analyze, isolate, resolve, and escalate client service requests while maintaining accurate incident records.
• Learn and support specialized broadcast software, hardware, and production systems.
• Diagnose connectivity issues across TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, and firewall environments.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of IT helpdesk, desktop support, or studio production technical experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Apple macOS and Microsoft Windows desktop and server environments.
• Working knowledge of networking protocols and infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN, switching, and routing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under live broadcast pressure.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and hands-on technical experience.

Nice to have

• Broadcast or media industry experience supporting NFL or NBA coverage.
• Linux or Unix experience.
• Valid passport for international travel.
