What you will do
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for broadcast, production, and corporate systems through ticketing, phone, email, and in-person assistance.
- Troubleshoot workstations, software, printers, mobile devices, peripherals, wired and wireless networks, and IP-based broadcast technologies.
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and upgrade desktops, laptops, monitors, user hardware, and software.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, group memberships, asset inventory, and technical documentation.
- Monitor system health, document resolutions and procedures, and escalate infrastructure issues to Broadcast Engineers.
- Participate in after-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call support for live broadcast operations.
Requirements
- Technical degree in Information Systems, Digital Electronics, Broadcasting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi.
- Strong troubleshooting, customer service, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Fluent English and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Nice to have
- Experience in television, radio, media, production, or broadcast environments.
- Familiarity with newsroom computer systems, media asset management, video servers, playout systems, and non-linear editing systems.
- Knowledge of IP video and audio transport technologies.
