Senior Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Australia; hybrid flexibility

What you will do

• Build and own production services across infrastructure, data layers, APIs, background workers, and React interfaces.
• Design and evolve the cloud platform used by thousands of clinicians and more than 22,000 specialists across 5,000+ practices.
• Make architectural decisions across identity, security, reliability, and customer-facing integrations.
• Develop tooling, pipelines, and agentic workflows that improve engineering productivity.
• Turn platform learnings into reusable capabilities for the wider engineering organization.

Requirements

• Strong experience building and shipping production software, with ownership of complete services.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node, AWS, and infrastructure as code using CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Solid engineering fundamentals in CI/CD, testing, observability, and scalable system design.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and AI agents beyond basic code generation.
• Confidence contributing to technical decisions and challenging ideas constructively.

Nice to have

• Experience with React or Ruby on Rails.
• Knowledge of identity and federated SSO, including Cognito, OIDC, or SAML.
• Application security experience or experience in healthcare and other regulated environments.
