Senior Engineering Manager - Design Systems & Accessibility (Frontend)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States

Base salary: $172,500–$260,100 annually. In select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan areas: $207,800–$285,800 annually.

What you will do

• Drive the accessibility strategy with Product and Design partners, ensuring UX patterns are usable by everyone, including people using screen readers and keyboard navigation.
• Own and evolve hirify.global Kit, the design system and frontend component library used across hirify.global.
• Set technical direction and facilitate major frontend engineering initiatives, including CSS architecture modernization.
• Develop roadmaps and milestones with individual contributor leads for multi-quarter projects.
• Hire, mentor, coach, and provide regular feedback to engineers while supporting their technical and career growth.
• Build a sustainable, high-performing engineering team and a supportive, challenging work environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams.
• Previous experience as a Senior or higher-level frontend software engineer.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, and leading engineers.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and product management about requirements, product features, and technical designs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent training or experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with design systems or UI component libraries.
• Experience advocating for people, use cases, or initiatives outside personal lived experience or day-to-day work.
