Senior Analytics Engineer (Automotive)

Salary: $135,100–$168,900 per year, with potential annual performance bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Architect and maintain scalable ELT pipelines and analytics data models.
• Manage the Product Data Catalog in Databricks Unity Catalog and define reliable semantic metrics with dbt.
• Build technical dashboards and data products in Hex and Databricks AI/BI for executive and functional users.
• Enable low-code and self-service analytics, including ad-hoc and root-cause analysis.
• Improve data architecture for AI comprehension and support AI/ML models, agents, and knowledge-base initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve complex operational challenges across vehicle development, supply chain, and manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in senior or staff-level data engineering or analytics engineering roles.
• Expertise in SQL, Python, dbt, data modeling, and analytics schema design.
• Experience with Databricks, including Unity Catalog, Databricks AI/BI, and Genie.
• Proficiency with Hex, Git, and CI/CD workflows for data engineering projects.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Automotive or high-volume manufacturing experience.
• Experience with bill of materials data.
• Experience building ingestion pipelines with Spark in Databricks Jobs and Fivetran.
• Understanding of AI/ML models for analytics or automation.
