Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada; hybrid work from the Vancouver office is required under the Global Hybrid Working Policy

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship end-to-end features for the AI-native Personalization Studio and RT2.0 realtime personalization engine.
• Scope features, create technical designs, and break complex product requirements into executable tasks.
• Develop backend APIs and distributed services while contributing to modular React applications.
• Make architectural decisions across frontend, backend, and shared platform components with a focus on scalability, observability, and security.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for design, implementation, debugging, testing, and documentation.
• Improve engineering quality through code reviews, mentorship, operational improvements, and on-call support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building, shipping, and operating production applications.
• Strong backend engineering skills with Ruby, Go, Java, or Kotlin, including database design and API scalability.
• Working knowledge of React and the ability to build modular, testable UI components across the full stack.
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native deployment patterns on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience owning features from scoping and technical design through rollout and post-launch support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
