Location: Austin, Texas, United States; work includes industrial, production, test-stand, launch-site, and outdoor environments, with travel to project locations as required. ITAR eligibility is required: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the necessary U.S. government authorizations.

What you will do
- Lead daily fabrication, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, modification, verification, and upgrade activities for flight ground support equipment.
- Assign and coordinate work for Level I, II, and III technicians across simultaneous work scopes, establishing execution sequences and managing critical-path activities.
- Perform and provide technical direction for mechanical and fluid-system work involving tubing, piping, valves, regulators, instrumentation, pneumatic, hydraulic, high-pressure gas, and cryogenic systems.
- Review drawings, P&IDs, work instructions, and technical procedures; identify constructability conflicts and coordinate resolution with Engineering.
- Support pressure testing, leak checking, flushing, cleaning, commissioning, system verification, and turnover activities when trained and qualified.
- Coordinate with FGSE, MGSE, EGSE, Engineering, Quality, Test, Launch, and supervision while maintaining accurate work logs, JIRA tickets, photographs, discrepancies, and completion documentation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 7+ years of relevant hands-on mechanical, aerospace, industrial, fabrication, aviation, military, process-piping, test, launch, or equivalent technical experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical work or coordinating technician teams.
- Advanced mechanical and fluid-system fabrication, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, or integration experience.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, mechanical, fabrication, and assembly drawings, plan complex technical work, mentor technicians, and coordinate multiple work scopes.
- Ability to safely lift at least 30 pounds, stand for extended periods, work in industrial and outdoor environments, and follow PPE, LOTO, FOD, contamination-control, and pressure-system safety requirements.
Nice to have
- Associate or technical degree, trade qualification, military technical training, or specialized certification.
- Experience with aerospace GSE, launch operations, propulsion testing, process facilities, industrial construction, or comparable environments.
- Advanced stainless-steel tubing and process-piping experience, including ASME B31.3 or comparable requirements.
- Experience with high-pressure gas, pneumatic, hydraulic, cryogenic, oxygen-clean, or contamination-controlled systems and hydrostatic or pneumatic testing.
- Experience with cranes, rigging, forklifts, telehandlers, aerial lifts, JIRA, Confluence, electronic work orders, or technician training materials.
