Laboratory Analyst (Analytical Chemistry)

Location: Onsite at the Livonia, Michigan laboratory, United States

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze samples according to analytical SOPs after completing training.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Apply general chemistry techniques, GC-MS, titrations, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, and mercury analysis methods.
• Support validation and method detection limit studies.
• Investigate issues and help prepare responses to client inquiries and corrective action requests.
• Maintain technical records, laboratory notebooks, and compliance with internal procedures and safety standards.

Requirements

• Associate degree in chemistry or a similar scientific discipline with 0–2 years of analytical chemistry laboratory experience, or three years of relevant experience such as sample preparation.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a similar scientific discipline with 1–2 years of relevant analytical chemistry laboratory experience is preferred.
• Advanced English language skills required.
• Strong mathematical and reasoning skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lb.
