Principal Engineering App Developer (Aerospace)

Location: Wichita, Kansas, United States; onsite 90%

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, document, test, and improve complex business and engineering applications.
• Translate business and engineering requirements into technical strategies and application solutions.
• Design system architectures, platform technologies, programming practices, and engineering standards.
• Lead technical work across major projects and the full Software Development Lifecycle.
• Mentor developers and coordinate work across cross-functional project teams.
• Plan projects and programs, define goals, target specifications, and KPIs, and oversee execution quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in engineering, computer science, data science, or mathematics.
• At least 13 years of experience in an aerospace, government, legal, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
• Advanced analytical reporting experience and strong communication and computer skills.
• Current authorization to work in the United States is required.
• The position is onsite 90% in Wichita, Kansas, with the ability to travel independently and on short notice.
