M&P Surface Technology Engineer (d/f/m) (Aerospace)

Location: Manching, Germany; mobile working and part-time options are available.

What you will do

• Support the acquisition and execution of technology, development, and qualification projects involving surface technologies, functional coatings, and corrosion protection.
• Prepare material and process specifications, process instructions, and test instructions.
• Support obsolescence management, change requests, and environmental compliance programs related to REACH.
• Advise design, stress, quality, and manufacturing teams on materials- and process-related questions.
• Collaborate with external institutes and steer material suppliers.
• Develop and harmonize paints, materials, processes, pretreatment, and cleaning technologies for external livery and surface preparation.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in materials science, chemistry, or aerospace engineering.
• Mandatory experience with surface and coating technologies and corrosion protection.
• German and English at negotiation level are mandatory.
• Ability to work in a transnational team.
• Independent and proactive working style.

Nice to have

• Experience in the aerospace industry, including qualification, certification, and standardization processes.
