IT Support Technician Intern (Summer 2026)

Location: Sparks, Nevada, United States; onsite laboratory or workshop work may be required

U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required. Travel may be required.

What you will do

• Participate in technical projects and complete assigned tasks supporting team objectives.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data to support engineering decisions.
• Attend planning meetings and learn project requirements, timelines, and team goals.
• Perform hands-on technical work and work with tools and technical equipment.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support best-practice implementation.

Requirements

• Be a sophomore, junior, or senior in college or technical school with at least six months remaining until graduation after the internship.
• Be enrolled in a degree program in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Have strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Be able to work at a computer for extended periods, handle technical equipment, lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, and work in environments with loud noise or hazardous conditions.

Nice to have

• Previous technical or engineering internship or work experience.
• Familiarity with the aerospace and defense industry.
• Basic knowledge of CAD or MATLAB.
• Microsoft Access skills.
• Studies in engineering or a related discipline.
