Operation Technology Support Intern (SCADA/EMS)

Location: Minneapolis, MN, United States; hybrid work policy with required commuting to the designated work location in person

Salary: $18.90–$22.10 per hour

What you will do

• Support construction projects that incorporate new field devices into the existing SCADA system.
• Work with graphical user interfaces supporting transmission operations.
• Assist with internal processes, documentation, and NERC-CIP compliance evidence gathering.
• Analyze data and help troubleshoot issues within the Energy Management System team.

Requirements

• Current sophomore-level student or higher, enrolled in an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, drafting, or electric design.
• Available for up to 40 hours per week during the summer and up to 20 hours per week during the school year.
• Available to commute to the designated work location in person under the hybrid work policy.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel.
• Programming skills in Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Understanding of electrical grids.
