Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Lead the technical design and delivery of projects or components within the AI business unit.
• Design and build complex, high-quality software systems with responsibility for correctness, performance, and maintainability.
• Author design documents and RFCs, participate in design reviews, and review complex designs and pull requests.
• Translate product requirements into technical designs with managers, technical leads, and product stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve technical debt, scalability limitations, reliability gaps, and other technical risks.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices in system design, testing, observability, CI/CD, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including exposure to large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience serving as a technical lead or primary design owner for a project or team initiative.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Working knowledge of agentic engineering using local and/or frontier models, plus exposure to distributed storage systems.
• Strong system design, communication, technical trade-off, and design documentation skills.
• Experience with data processing, analytics, AI/ML systems, mentoring engineers, and CI/CD infrastructure for production deployments.
