IT Support Technician Intern (Summer 2027) (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; onsite work in a laboratory or workshop environment. U.S. citizenship is required because the role requires obtaining and maintaining a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Estimated starting salary range: $18.13–$31.72.

What you will do

• Participate in technical projects and complete assigned tasks supporting team objectives.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data to support engineering decisions.
• Attend planning meetings to understand project requirements, timelines, and goals.
• Perform hands-on technical work with computers, tools, and technical equipment.
• Identify process improvements and help implement best practices.

Requirements

• Current sophomore, junior, or senior in a university, college, or technical school, with at least six months remaining until graduation after the internship.
• Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Strong proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods, handle technical equipment, lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, and work in laboratory or workshop conditions.

Nice to have

• Previous technical or engineering internship or work experience.
• Familiarity with the aerospace and defense industry.
• Basic knowledge of CAD, MATLAB, or other engineering software tools.
• Microsoft Access skills.
