RCM Client Billing Specialist

Location: Fully remote, working from a home office or another suitable remote location with reliable high-speed internet.

Salary: $35–$37 USD.

What you will do

• Review and submit invoices for diagnostic laboratory services according to service agreements, pricing, and client requirements.
• Analyze disputed invoice transactions, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions, adjustments, and payer claim submissions.
• Follow up on outstanding balances, monitor aging reports, and communicate with clients to expedite payment.
• Maintain accurate invoice, correspondence, and client-response records in the billing system.
• Collaborate with billing, reimbursement, Market Access, Sales, and vendor teams on complex issues and revenue cycle management initiatives.
• Prepare invoice performance reports and identify process improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in medical claims processing, preferably in a diagnostic laboratory or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of insurance billing, payer requirements, and denial management.
• Familiarity with laboratory coding, including CPT and ICD-10, as well as EOBs and remittance advice.
• Proficiency with billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is preferred.
