Senior Civil Engineer (10+ Years) (Water/Wastewater)

Location: Spokane, Washington, USA; office-based position.

Salary: $115,000–$170,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and deliver water resources, wastewater, and process engineering solutions.
• Support junior water and wastewater engineers and coordinate with civil engineers and surveyors.
• Manage projects, clients, multidisciplinary coordination, and consulting deliverables.
• Prepare proposals, support business development, and cross-sell multidisciplinary services.
• Mentor and help grow a collaborative water and wastewater engineering team.
• Navigate local, state, and federal environmental compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least 10 years of professional engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure required, with the ability to obtain licensure in Washington State.
• Strong expertise in water resources and wastewater or process engineering.
• Project management, client management, mentoring, business development, verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Experience designing public water and wastewater treatment facilities is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• American Academy of Environmental Engineers Diplomate designation as an alternative to a master’s degree.
• Experience with municipal, public utility, or industrial projects.
• Experience collaborating with local and state agencies and engineering communities.
