What you will do
- Produce daily broadcast newscasts across all platforms.
- Create multiple shows each week for the emerging streaming channel.
- Write and order news stories, approve scripts, and balance news and feature content.
- Edit video and prepare stories for the website and other eMedia platforms.
- Interact with viewers and users through social media.
- Collaborate with colleagues and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
- Fluency in English grammar is required.
- Strong understanding of current events, news, and journalism ethics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks.
- Flexibility to work any shift and in the Bakersfield location.
