Engineer I – Process (Wet/Strip Etch)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; onsite at the East Cheyenne Mountain Blvd facility

Annual base salary: $70,000–$110,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Monitor and optimize wet and strip etch tool performance and manufacturing processes.
• Correlate inline process monitors with parametric measurements and maintain process-control data.
• Establish and document equipment and process operating specifications, including OCAPs.
• Design, coordinate, and execute experiments to develop processes and improve manufacturing techniques.
• Troubleshoot process, device, tool, and lot issues and provide dispositions when required.
• Plan technical projects, analyze results, prepare management reports, and collaborate with engineering and technical groups.

Requirements

• BS degree in a related engineering discipline; chemistry, chemical engineering, physics, and materials science are preferred.
• General knowledge of engineering practices for sustaining, troubleshooting, modifying, improving, and developing integrated circuit manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of mathematics, chemistry, mechanics, materials, electrical systems, physics, probability, and statistics.
• Ability to analyze technical information, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and apply statistical and correlation techniques.
• Ability to communicate with all organizational levels and lead problem-solving and quality-improvement activities.
• Ability to work around semiconductor-processing hazards and lift, push, or pull approximately 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• MS degree or PhD in a related engineering discipline.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Mathematica, LabVIEW, or JMP.
• Project management capability.
• Competency with mechanical, vacuum, computer, and electrical systems used in semiconductor processing equipment.
