Product Development Assistant (Apparel)

hirify.global is an apparel brand developing women's fashion products through collaborative design, product development, merchandising, and production teams.

What you will do

• Support the development of women's soft woven apparel from initial concept through production handoff.
• Maintain seasonal work-in-progress trackers, sample statuses, shipment details, fabric-ready dates, and development deliverables.
• Communicate with overseas vendors about sample status, development requests, comments, timelines, and follow-up actions.
• Create and maintain product information, style details, colorways, components, and bills of materials in PLM and related systems.
• Track, receive, organize, prepare, and distribute development samples and shipments; maintain the sample room.
• Support milestone meetings, cross-functional coordination, meeting notes, intern task coordination, and ad hoc administrative projects.

Requirements

• Entry-level profile with an associate or bachelor's degree in fashion design, product development, apparel production, merchandising, textiles, or a related field preferred.
• Internship experience or up to 1–2 years of experience in apparel product development, production, sourcing, technical design, or a related fashion function preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of apparel product development, garment construction, fabrics, trims, and the product lifecycle.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional communication with overseas vendors across time zones.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, time management, follow-through, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook; hands-on sample-room work and familiarity with PLM systems are required or preferred aspects of the role.
