Senior Business Systems Engineer (Salesforce)

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA. Relocation expense coverage to NYC or SF may be available if needed.

Salary: $122.2K–$183.4K annually, plus equity. Final compensation depends on location and hiring level.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications on the Salesforce Platform.
• Build and operate reliable integrations between Salesforce, internal revenue applications, data platforms, and adjacent business systems.
• Develop and maintain iPaaS solutions using tools such as Workato, Clay, and internal platforms.
• Define scalable architecture patterns, technical specifications, data models, process flows, and sequence diagrams.
• Own data integrity, data contracts, idempotency, error handling, reconciliation, and safe lifecycle changes for quotes, contracts, and subscriptions.
• Collaborate on code reviews, on-call support, build issues, and solution ideation with engineering and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working with the Salesforce Platform and 5+ years in systems architecture and integrations.
• Deep experience with Apex, triggers, Lightning Web Components, Flows, asynchronous processing, Salesforce APIs, and governance limits.
• Strong integration-design skills covering synchronous and asynchronous methods, streaming APIs, publish/subscribe patterns, retries, duplicate events, partial failures, and reconciliation.
• Working knowledge of Python, data pipelines, CI/CD, unit testing, and positive/negative test scenarios.
• Experience with CPQ, pricing, contract lifecycle management, billing, subscriptions, or another Quote-to-Cash domain.
• Ability to translate complex commercial requirements into durable system behavior and communicate effectively with non-engineering teams.

• Experience with Snowflake and DBT.
• Kafka experience.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with GTM tools such as Gong, LeanData, CPQ, and billing systems.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully and evaluating their output.
