SAP ABAP Developer (SAP Insurance)

Location: Remote from the United States; the listed site is MI-Admin Office Building (AOB). The standard schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional travel for meetings, collaboration, or team-building activities.

Salary: $86,000–$130,000 annual salary, plus potential annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Plan, design, develop, implement, and maintain moderately complex SAP and information-system components.
• Deliver assigned work on schedule and in accordance with service-level objectives and information-systems standards.
• Define functional requirements and partner with Security to develop audit controls.
• Develop SAP enhancements, configure SAP Insurance functionality, and troubleshoot application errors.
• Support SAP PI/PO integrations, including Integration Builder, Integration Directory, SLD, alert configuration, and NWA.
• Set up, modify, monitor, and troubleshoot Autosys jobs and SAP integration queues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience designing, developing, implementing, or supporting moderately complex information systems and Web-based, distributed, or mainframe systems.
• Experience with SAP Insurance, SAP database tables and functions, system and database design, production support, and SAP enhancements.
• Experience with Autosys job scheduling and monitoring, and with SAP PI/PO standard adapters such as FILE, JDBC, SOAP, REST, SFTP, and Proxy.
• Knowledge of structured systems analysis, design, programming, testing, database management, operating systems, development tools, security controls, and systems operations.
• Ability to analyze and resolve business and technical problems, facilitate user interaction, meet deadlines, and lead individuals in a matrix organization.

Nice to have

• SAP certification.
• Claims and insurance industry background.
• Experience with methodology development, JAD/RAD techniques, or database modeling.
