Sr. ABAP BTP Engineer (SAP)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; 70% in-office and 30% flexible work model

Salary: $130,800–$209,400 per year, with potential bonus, incentive compensation, or equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support SAP solutions across ABAP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5, RAP, CAP, and modern extensibility frameworks.
• Build advanced ABAP objects, APIs, interfaces, workflows, enhancements, forms, and object-oriented components.
• Develop and support BTP applications using Business Application Studio, HANA Cloud, Integration Suite, Workflow, and Event Mesh.
• Create scalable, role-based SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 user experiences.
• Support SAP and non-SAP integrations through APIs, middleware, and event-driven architecture.
• Extend SAP Joule and SAP Business AI capabilities by connecting conversational use cases with backend services and enterprise content.

Requirements

• 8+ years of SAP development experience, including deep ABAP expertise and 3+ years of SAP BTP development and extensibility.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, ABAP, Fiori/UI5, RAP, CAP, BTP services, integrations, and clean-core principles.
• Working knowledge of SAP Joule, Joule Studio, AI Core, AI Launchpad, Generative AI Hub, and SAP BTP AI services.
• Understanding of prompt design, enterprise data grounding, security, authorization, privacy, governance, and responsible AI use.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information technology, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
