Engineering Project Manager (Mechanical Engineering)

Salary: $95,000–$110,000 per year

Target Rock projects involve engineering development of mechanical systems and their transition to manufacturing and production.

What you will do

• Plan, manage, and track short- and long-term engineering qualification and production projects.
• Establish project objectives, timelines, budgets, resource plans, procedures, and performance standards.
• Coordinate engineering personnel and test facility activities while managing project resources and stakeholders.
• Review contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and amendments before project launch.
• Maintain project backlogs, status reports, schedules, budgets, and estimated completion or shipment dates.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, track performance, and present progress reports.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• 5–7 years of experience in engineering project management or as an engineering lead.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience developing mechanical systems and transitioning them to manufacturing or production.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, scheduling, resource allocation, project budgeting, and earned value management.
• Ability to read sales orders, shop orders, and engineering drawings; knowledge of materials, bills of materials, manufacturing, and inspection techniques.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business, MBA, or PMP certification.
• Prior experience with Oracle ERP.
