Lead AI Engineer

Location: Work from home in the USA. Occasional travel may be required, and work outside normal business hours may be needed to support global operations.

Salary: $131,000–$165,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, and support AI applications, automation solutions, and digital agents.
• Build generative AI and agentic solutions using established frameworks and cloud technologies.
• Apply software engineering practices to deliver scalable, secure, reliable, and responsible AI solutions.
• Support the full AI solution lifecycle, including production operations, monitoring, platform reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Lead small projects or technical workstreams and collaborate with business, architecture, security, and platform teams.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, or a related field.
• At least eight years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or related disciplines.
• At least two years of experience designing, developing, testing, monitoring, and maintaining end-to-end AI solutions.
• Experience designing agentic workflows and delivering AI solutions in cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock, AWS SageMaker, OpenAI technologies, AWS Bedrock Agents, and LangChain.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker; legal authorization to work in the U.S. without immigration sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in artificial intelligence, data science, or a related field.
• Experience in insurance or other regulated industries.
• Experience supporting enterprise AI platforms and cloud-native solutions.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, security, privacy, and governance practices.
• Professional or developer certifications in AI and cloud-native technologies.
