Senior Research Associate (Biology)

What you will do

• Develop methodologies for biologically characterizing electronic nicotine delivery system products.
• Perform biological characterization of liquids and aerosols for potential cytotoxicity.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Write, execute, and update standard operating procedures.
• Maintain experimental records and present reports on results.
• Follow Good Laboratory Practice requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell or Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, or a related field.
• Six years of hands-on laboratory experience.
• Experience with weighing, quantitative transfer, and volumetric dilutions.
• Hands-on experience with aseptic mammalian cell-culture techniques.
• Expertise using flow cytometry to analyze biological samples.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with plate-based fluorescence, luminescence, or absorbance assays.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and statistical software such as GraphPad Prism.
• Strong communication skills and excellent data management.
