Data Security Manager - Information Security & Risk Management (Cybersecurity)

Location: Raritan, New Jersey, United States, or remote within the U.S.; periodic travel to the Raritan office is required for remote employees.

Salary: $117,000–$201,250 base pay annually.

What you will do

• Lead the enterprise Data Protection Program, including governance, operating processes, service oversight, metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Own data protection exception management for USB, webmail, file-sharing, Trusted Computing, Secure Data Transfer, and other approved services.
• Assess exception requests, coordinate risk reviews and remediation, and manage exception lifecycles.
• Partner with security, compliance, privacy, legal, HR, IT, and business teams to design and implement risk-based data protection controls.
• Identify, classify, inventory, and protect critical information assets while assessing control gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Lead security awareness, communications, change management, training, and implementation of new data security capabilities.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required.
• At least 2 years of experience in data security, including governance, data security measures, or data labeling.
• Experience assessing security threats, mitigation measures, and security vendors or technologies.
• Strong knowledge of information security processes and principles, with the ability to explain cybersecurity business value.
• Strong communication, collaboration, relationship-building, and influencing skills across IT and business functions.
• Ability to work remotely only from within the United States or from the Raritan, New Jersey office, with periodic office travel for remote employees.

Nice to have

• Six or more years of experience in IT security management or IT.
• Cybersecurity, audit, risk management, or data security certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CISA, or CRISC.
• Experience developing or supporting a large-scale Data Security program.
• Experience performing Data Security or Data Protection projects.
