Information Security Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role based at the Rochester, New York, United States office

Salary: $105,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead, supervise, train, and mentor cybersecurity engineers, analysts, and GRC/compliance personnel.
• Develop, enforce, and maintain information security policies, standards, procedures, and security controls.
• Identify vulnerabilities, conduct threat and risk assessments, and advise senior management on security posture and mitigation strategies.
• Monitor networks, security alerts, encryption policies, and security tools while maintaining cybersecurity reporting and remediation plans.
• Lead responses to security breaches, viruses, cyberattacks, and discovered vulnerabilities.
• Manage third-party security risks and provide cybersecurity requirements for procurement documents and statements of work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• CISSP, CISM, or a similar certification.
• Proven experience in IT security, network administration, and security team management.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, security tools, risk management, incident response, compliance frameworks, encryption, intrusion detection, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery, business continuity, disaster recovery, network security architecture, operating systems, supply chain security, and emerging cyber threats.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, organizational, multitasking, and confidentiality skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with GDPR.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity laws, policies, and governance for the US, UK, Spain, and similar regions.
