VN Nurse Instructor - Evenings/Weekends

Location: Bakersfield, California, USA; campus-based position with teaching scheduled during evenings, weekdays, and weekends as needed.

Salary: USD 45.00–60.00 per hour; typical hiring range is USD 45.00–52.80 per hour.

What you will do

• Teach lecture content and clinical rotations for vocational nursing students.
• Mentor students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
• Improve instructional quality by applying innovative teaching methodologies and online learning activities.
• Review and revise course syllabi and instructional guidelines.
• Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-off forms, student files, and clinical requirement records.
• Submit program reports, participate in assigned committees, and support professional development activities.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure in the state where teaching takes place.
• At least 3 years of recent bedside experience with a BSN, or at least 6 years of recent bedside experience with an LVN degree.
• Ability to meet faculty requirements established by the Board of Vocational Nursing.
• Current knowledge and experience in nursing practice and clinical settings, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Current immunizations and Basic Life Support certification.
