Legal Counsel (ClimateTech)

Location: Hybrid, London, United Kingdom. Remote-first flexibility is available for applicants outside the UK who are within 3 hours of the GMT/BST timezone and willing to travel to London quarterly; an Employer of Record arrangement may be used. UK sponsorship is not available.

hirify.global is a carbon removal marketplace building the commercial infrastructure needed to scale permanent carbon removal for corporate buyers.

What you will do

• Lead the design and establishment of corporate entities for financing and international expansion.
• Manage governance frameworks, board processes, and shareholder matters across the group.
• Draft, review, and negotiate customer, supplier, partnership, NDA, MSA, and SLA agreements.
• Support commercial deal structuring while balancing growth objectives with legal protections.
• Support equity fundraising and debt financings, including term sheet review, closing processes, investor rights, and corporate approvals.
• Identify contractual and financing risks, build scalable legal processes, and manage external legal advisers cost-consciously.

Requirements

• UK-qualified lawyer or equivalent with 5+ years PQE.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, including SPVs, corporate structuring, and governance.
• Experience with commercial contracting and equity and/or debt financings.
• Commercial, pragmatic approach to balancing legal risk with business goals.
• Ability to work independently, build processes from scratch, and operate with limited resources.
• Excellent communication skills for working with executives, investors, and external counsel.
