Senior Investment Associate

Location: Hybrid schedule in Lincolnshire, Illinois, with three days in the office and two remote days; minimum 10% travel required.

Salary: $96,800–$145,200 annual base pay, plus a performance-based annual cash incentive targeted at 10% of base pay.

What you will do

• Source high-tech startup investment opportunities aligned with Zebra’s strategic themes through market research, ecosystem analysis, and relationship building.
• Evaluate potential investments through product, business, customer, market, financial, and commercial due diligence.
• Lead financial modeling, valuation, sensitivity analysis, and portfolio performance reporting.
• Prepare investment memos, activity reports, portfolio updates, customer presentations, and materials for the Board, executive leadership, and external auditors.
• Coordinate evaluations and due diligence with internal business units, investors, entrepreneurs, and strategic partners.
• Monitor portfolio companies and adjacent technology industries, support portfolio connections, and assist with M&A work as needed.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in business, finance, accounting, marketing, computer science, engineering, statistics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience; candidates with 3+ years may be considered with strong AI tools, M&A, and investment banking skills.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including valuation and financial modeling.
• Ability to assess products, markets, business models, competitive landscapes, and strategic relevance.
• Ability to build relationships with investors, entrepreneurs, executives, and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
