Digital Project Leader (UNICORN/IT Automation)

Location: GBR - Remote; onsite and remote work within the allocated zone, with travel visa free across Europe.

What you will do

• Lead the full lifecycle of UNICORN, IT, and automation projects from concept and design through testing, implementation, and post-implementation review.
• Collaborate with service delivery managers and engineering, IT, operations, and sales teams to identify opportunities and integrate solutions into existing processes.
• Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations, and drive delivery to completion.
• Oversee deployment of IT technologies, tools, and platforms in line with company standards and industry best practices.
• Monitor progress, resolve challenges, report status to stakeholders, and measure efficiency, cost, and quality outcomes.
• Train and mentor digital portfolio team members while promoting continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent IT expertise, with knowledge of Microsoft SQL and relevant chemistry, bioprocessing, life science, or mechanical engineering domains.
• Experience installing and creating MS SQL instances and databases, using SQL Management Studio, and running and editing SQL scripts, including backup and restore operations.
• Networking knowledge covering TCP and UDP ports and firewall rules, plus Windows command prompts and PC operating systems.
• Understanding of servers, Active Directory, and users and groups, with the ability to discuss these topics with customers.
• Strong knowledge of the UNICORN and Biacore Insight software portfolios, including technical discussions of OPC and DeltaV integration with equipment.
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring cross-functional project teams and delivering project plans on time and within budget; a current driving licence is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in cell culture, media development, bioprocessing, or life sciences, including familiarity with ISO 13485.
• Project management principles, including resource allocation, cost estimation, risk analysis, and project management tools.
• Commercial or sales acumen and knowledge of digital service products.
