Senior Technical Product Manager (Data & AI): Owning and advancing an event data pipeline that ingests, normalizes, and governs data powering personalization and AI decisioning with an accent on stream ingestion, real-time processing, and platform architecture. Focus on translating commercial use cases into actionable product requirements, coordinating cross-team dependencies, and measuring pipeline reliability and quality after launch.

Location: Toronto, Canada (Remote)

Salary: CAD 123,300–160,000 per year, plus potential bonus and benefits.

What you will do

  • Own the product backlog for the event data pipeline, including stream event ingestion, tracking, data normalization, and governed data infrastructure.
  • Partner with data engineering to drive sprint-level execution and contribute to the broader data and integrations roadmap.
  • Translate use cases and functional requirements from Sales, Customer Experience, and other stakeholders into actionable product requirements.
  • Connect engineering work with customer and business needs through ongoing collaboration with commercial teams.
  • Define reliability and quality benchmarks and monitor pipeline performance for 60–90 days after launch.
  • Evaluate developments in event data platforms and contribute to architectural trade-off decisions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience working directly with engineering teams on technically complex, data-intensive products.
  • Fluency in event data pipeline concepts, including stream event ingestion, real-time data processing, and data normalization.
  • Experience with modern data stack technologies such as Snowflake, Kafka, Databricks, or Airflow.
  • Ability to translate commercial and non-technical stakeholder needs into clear product requirements.
  • Strong prioritization skills across a defined backlog and its broader platform dependencies.
  • Clear communication skills for sprint ceremonies and customer-facing conversations.

Nice to have

  • Previous software engineering or data engineering experience.
