Forward-Deployed Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Salary: $215,000–$260,000 annually plus bonus and Restricted Stock Units

What you will do

• Embed with internal stakeholder teams such as SRE, Finance, Sales, People Ops, or product groups to identify high-leverage workflows for improvement.
• Build interactive applications with user interfaces, backend services, APIs, data layers, and write-back capabilities to systems of record.
• Replace repetitive work with automated pipelines and AI agents that involve people when human judgment is required.
• Own engagements end to end, from scoping and implementation through deployment, adoption measurement, and iteration.
• Create reusable skills, integrations, and UI patterns for a shared engineering platform.
• Ensure tooling is reliable, governed, access-controlled, and based on trusted sources of truth.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and owning production software.
• Staff-level scope and judgment, including the ability to lead ambiguous greenfield work with limited direction.
• Full-stack engineering experience across user-facing interfaces, backend services, APIs, and data layers.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills, with experience navigating data warehouses, pipelines, and data validation.
• Product mindset and ability to translate manual processes into effective tools for non-engineering stakeholders.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools, LLM agents, and automation platforms with appropriate guardrails.

Nice to have

• Experience as a forward-deployed, solutions, or embedded engineer.
• BI or analytics engineering experience with Sigma, Looker, dbt, or Tableau.
• Familiarity with Workato or n8n.
• Experience with MCP, agent frameworks, or LLM tool use.
• Experience in an early-stage environment with significant ambiguity.
