Azure AppDev Engineer (.NET)

Location: Fully remote; occasional driving to client worksites may be required.

Starting compensation: $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, market trends, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Build and enhance enterprise application features using C# and .NET.
• Contribute to .NET upgrades, code refactoring, component modularization, and other modernization initiatives.
• Implement and consume REST APIs and support service integration work.
• Write unit tests and collaborate with QA on integration and regression testing.
• Troubleshoot defects and performance issues, participate in code reviews, and maintain technical documentation.
• Support CI/CD and release readiness while contributing to technical backlogs, epics, and user stories with the architect; the role may include technical product owner responsibilities.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional development experience with .NET applications.
• Proficiency with C#, ASP.NET or ASP.NET Core, and basic Web API concepts.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server fundamentals, including queries, joins, and basic indexing.
• Experience with Git, pull request workflows, CI/CD concepts, and basic deployment pipelines.
• Ability to deliver well-scoped work independently and collaborate in Agile ceremonies.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, and cloud-hosted application troubleshooting.
• Experience with EF Core or a similar ORM and modern data access patterns.
• Exposure to React, Vue, Angular, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with integration or UI test automation and modernization or migration initiatives.
