Project Manager III

Location: Silver Spring, MD, United States; work is primarily performed in an office environment.

Estimated pay range: $100,000–$135,000 per year, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.

What you will do

• Manage the full life cycle of enterprise IT projects for the FDA Office of Food Policy and Response.
• Develop project plans, charters, work breakdown structures, scopes, schedules, milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate activities across technical teams, working group leads, program stakeholders, government leadership, and senior officials.
• Track project progress, risks, obstacles, deliverables, and deadlines while ensuring scope, schedule, quality, and funding expectations are met.
• Facilitate meetings and prepare agendas, minutes, action items, status reports, documentation, and presentations.
• Apply project management best practices and federal regulatory standards while driving process improvements in planning, scheduling, and budgeting.

Requirements

• Minimum of seven years of relevant project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience managing projects in an enterprise information technology environment and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment, and property.
• Strong leadership, organization, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Nice to have

• Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
