Senior Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Bentonville, Arkansas, United States; onsite role

Annual salary: $90,000–$180,000, plus performance bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead scoped feature and model delivery through implementation, iteration, testing, deployment, and support.
• Write clean, efficient, and reliable code using multiple programming languages across the full software development lifecycle.
• Integrate AI/ML components and generative AI tools to improve software capabilities and development velocity.
• Design and review scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with business and platform objectives.
• Monitor application performance, maintain production systems, and improve operational readiness and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, support, and business stakeholders while mentoring peers and promoting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Java expertise and experience with Big Data technologies, including Spark.
• Working knowledge of GCP or Azure and experience with Kafka.
• Experience with object-oriented programming, code reviews, debugging, documentation, and iterative delivery.
• Experience integrating AI/ML components and using generative AI tools.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and full software development lifecycle practices.
• Bachelor’s degree plus at least 3 years of software engineering experience, or at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Frontend experience with React or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with Elastic, Solr, or vector databases.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
