Senior Mortgage Funding Specialist (Mortgage)

Location: Remote; candidates must be located in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, or California

Salary: $24.19–$31.87 per hour, based on experience and geography

What you will do

• Manage mortgage loan closing activities, including preparing and validating Closing Disclosures and closing packages.
• Review loan files for accuracy, completeness, funding readiness, and alignment with system requirements.
• Investigate and resolve complex or time-sensitive issues involving fees, documentation, and loan conditions.
• Apply regulatory, investor, and internal requirements to support compliant closings and audit readiness.
• Manage an assigned closing pipeline, prioritize workloads, coordinate timelines, and identify potential delays.
• Collaborate with settlement agents, borrowers, loan officers, and internal teams to complete successful loan closings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• At least 4 years of experience in mortgage funding, loan closing activities, transaction processing, and issue resolution.
• Understanding of mortgage closing and funding processes, including complex transactions.
• Strong knowledge of documentation review, funding requirements, closing coordination, and regulatory and investor requirements.
• Ability to assess risks, resolve non-routine issues, monitor pipelines, and track loan statuses using systems and reporting tools.
• Must be located in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, or California for the remote role.
