What you will do

• Lead underwriting for complex commercial loan requests and recommend risk-mitigating structures.
• Manage an assigned loan portfolio by monitoring performance, trends, and emerging credit risks.
• Partner with relationship managers, clients, and stakeholders to negotiate loan terms aligned with risk parameters.
• Review and negotiate credit agreements with legal teams while ensuring compliance with bank policies.
• Mentor junior credit professionals and identify opportunities to improve credit processes and procedures.
• Resolve portfolio issues, exercise independent judgment, and complete related special projects.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in commercial credit analysis, underwriting, or portfolio management.
• Advanced financial modeling, financial analysis, and credit risk assessment expertise.
• Experience structuring complex loan transactions and analyzing macroeconomic trends affecting credit risk.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with credit agreements, loan documentation, regulatory requirements, financial analysis tools, CRM systems, and underwriting software.
