Machinist I - FLEX (CNC)

Location: On-site in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, United States. FLEX shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. Due to ITAR regulations, the role is open only to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals granted refugee or asylee status; temporary visa holders are not eligible.

Salary: $26–$30 per hour. External applicants may be eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC milling and CNC lathe machines.
• Prepare CAM files from CAD files, technical drawings, and verbal instructions.
• Program and optimize machining jobs for fast turnaround and accurate parts.
• Inspect completed parts using measuring instruments and make quality decisions.
• Maintain machines, shop equipment, job organization, and material inventory.
• Resolve recurring production issues, complete operator preventive maintenance, and support on-time delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating CNC milling or lathe machines, including setup and some programming knowledge.
• Machining knowledge from a prototype manufacturing environment or related education and experience.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks, Mastercam, CAD/CAM, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read blueprints, use calipers, protractors, and height gauges, and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Must meet ITAR employment eligibility requirements for work in the United States.
