Yard Driver CDL A - Part-Time

Location: 14 International Dr, East Granby, CT 06026, USA. On-site yard work, with a schedule of three days per week from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; flexibility is required, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional short-notice assignments.

What you will do

• Reposition commercial tractors and trailers within the yard and back trailers to dock doors.
• Shuttle equipment to and from logistics or lease providers, and take trailers for washing and cleaning.
• Inspect the yard and equipment, document defects, communicate maintenance needs, and maintain vehicle records.
• Ensure refrigerated trailers maintain appropriate temperatures and remain available for warehouse loading and unloading.
• Assist with unloading, backhauls, re-deliveries, and designated store delivery routes when required.
• Follow safety procedures, attend training and meetings, and complete required timekeeping and paperwork.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with air brakes endorsement required.
• At least six months of verifiable commercial motor vehicle driving experience required; one year preferred.
• High school diploma or GED and minimum age of 21.
• Maintain a DOT medical certificate and meet the required motor vehicle record standards.
• Pass a background check every third year and comply with DOT log regulations.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally, and work in refrigerated, outdoor, and noisy environments.
