CDL (A) Tanker Driver/Technician (HazMat)

Location: Richmond, VA, USA; Monday through Friday with variable scheduling that may include 3–4 overnight shifts per week based on customer locations and delivery requirements.

Pay range: $27.15–$37.35 per hour, depending on the locality of hire.

What you will do

• Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers, tankers, roll-offs, van trailers, straight trucks, and other commercial vehicles.
• Transport and collect bulk and containerized hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including LTL pickups.
• Apply DOT requirements for hazardous waste packaging, placarding, labeling, load segregation, and securement.
• Maintain logbooks, permits, trip reports, waste manifests, and other driver documentation.
• Perform DOT/MOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections and use assigned mobile applications and maintenance software.
• Interact with customers, support facility housekeeping, and assist with lab pack and field service projects.

Requirements

• Valid Class A commercial driver’s license with hazardous material and tanker endorsements, or the ability to obtain the endorsements within 90 days of hire.
• Motor vehicle record meeting company policy standards.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical loading and unloading tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, prioritize work, and manage diverse responsibilities.
