Class A or B CDL Local Delivery HazMat Truck Driver

Location: SCP Distributors, 11140 Leadbetter Road, Ashland, Virginia 23005, United States. Local deliveries only; home every night. Start time: 7:30 a.m.

Salary: $26–$27 per hour, plus benefits and eligibility for up to $3,500 in annual bonuses.

What you will do

• Make local customer deliveries using effective routes to ensure timely service.
• Load and unload vehicles, secure products, and separate hazardous materials appropriately.
• Collect payments and complete accurate delivery documentation.
• Maintain compliance with Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety, and other applicable regulations.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance needs, and keep the vehicle clean and presentable.
• Build product and job knowledge while providing professional customer service.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A or B commercial driver's license with HAZMAT endorsement.
• Motor Vehicle Record and Pre-Employment Screening Program results showing no more than two combined violations or at-fault accidents in the past three years.
• Ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Strong customer service and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with PCs and material-handling equipment.
• Moffett, Skelly, or air-brake experience.
